Raw Plantain Stir Fry / Kaya Mezhukkupuratti

            This is an easy stir fry recipe. This is a very healthy and tasty dish.

Ingredients and Measurements Needed


  • 1 or 2  nos- Raw Plantain
  • 9-10 small onions

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 or 2 dried red chili
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt required

Method


  1. Clean and cut the plantain into small pieces .

  2. Clean and cut the small onions and keep it aside
  3. Now heat a pan and add oil into it.
  4. When the oil is hot ,add the cut onions and dried chilies and saute until the onions are transparent.

  5. Now add some salt.

  6. Mix well .

  7. Now add turmeric powder.

  8. Mix well.

  9. Cook until the raw smell of turmeric powder gone.

  10. Now add the cut plantain into this mixture .

  11. Combine them well and keep the flame low.

  12. Add some water .

  13. Mix well.

  14. Cover the pan and cook the plantain for 10-15 minutes.

  15. Keep stir it in regular intervals.

  16. Check whether the plantain is cooked(If we can break them with spatula easily ,then it's cooked)
