This is an easy stir fry recipe. This popular dish with this healthy vegetable is usually eaten with steamed rice.
Ingredients and Measurements Needed
- 1 or 2 nos- Bitter Guard
- 1 no- Onion
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder or crushed chili
- 2 tsp oil
- salt required
Method
- Cut the bitter guard into small pieces .Usually we do not take the inside part of this vegetable.So before cutting remove the inside white parts and seeds.
- Chop onions into small pieces
- Now mix bitter guard,onions,turmeric powder and salt and keep it aside for at least 10 minutes.
- Now heat a pan and add oil into it.
- When the oil is hot add bitter guard mix and give it a stir.
- Then cover the pan and cook it for 10-15 minutes until it's done.
- Keep mixing the fry in regular intervals in these 10-15 minutes.
- Switch off the flame and transfer it into a serving plate.
- Serve fry with steamed rice.
