Raw Plantain Stir Fry / Kaya Mezhukkupuratti
This is an easy stir fry recipe. This is a very healthy and tasty dish.
Ingredients and Measurements Needed
- 1 or 2 nos- Raw Plantain
- 9-10 small onions
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 or 2 dried red chili
- 2 tsp oil
- salt required
Method
- Clean and cut the plantain into small pieces .
- Clean and cut the small onions and keep it aside
- Now heat a pan and add oil into it.
- When the oil is hot ,add the cut onions and dried chilies and saute until the onions are transparent.
- Now add some salt.
- Mix well .
- Now add turmeric powder.
- Mix well.
- Cook until the raw smell of turmeric powder gone.
- Now add the cut plantain into this mixture .
- Combine them well and keep the flame low.
- Add some water .
- Mix well.
- Cover the pan and cook the plantain for 10-15 minutes.
- Keep stir it in regular intervals.
- Check whether the plantain is cooked(If we can break them with spatula easily ,then it's cooked)
- Tasty plantain stir fry is ready .
